Spandex dress

Fall weddings are finally here.  This insanely comfortable 2 piece dress available at Sara Rose On Oak was the perfect ensemble for my brother in law's wedding. Fit to perfection and not too tight. It was also a beautiful color for fall. #comfortliving

Grey grey grey grey.....

I'm all about the grey and burgundy this fall. Sleeveless turtle neck sweaters with a light shirt underneath is so comfy! My meeka energy jewelry line makes the perfect statement. Grey low heel shoes and a hat- set. If I'm going to be honest, I would seriously wear flats, but the heels make any casual outfit look so much more feminine. So if you're going to the library you can still wear this and wear flats, then switch the shoes if you're going out to brunch.

Fall is probably a lot of people's favorite time of year. I never actually had a favorite time of year, I always feel like every season goes by so fast and it's all a blur. HA!!! But seriously, I guess if you ask me my favorite TIMES are when I start to smell fall in the air, before I get so used to it and take it for granted. Same with winter, summer, spring... I don't think Chicago even has a spring, we go straight from freezing to hot. Anyway, my style is always based on what is most comfortable to wear. Lose jeans, the ones I'm wearing are J Brand, you can get them at any Nordstrom, or Macys' or their site http://www.jbrandjeans.com/. Turtle neck is by Cotton Emporpium.

Easing into Fall with Burgandy

J Brand Jeans-#NordstromRack
Burgandy Blazer-#NordstromRack
White Light Shirt-#Forever21-$8.99 a steal!
3rd Eye Awake Shoes- #SaraRoseOnOak, by olsenHAUS (love these shoes)

Usually September and October in Chicago is a strange time. You don't know when it will be 90 degrees or super cold all of a sudden. I like to ease into fall wearing simple blazers, jeans, light weight shirts, and flats.

I see a lot of girls already wearing their boots and leggings and I'm like "slow down!" Boots do not need to be worn just yet, summer JUST ended and I'm still going to the pool occasionally. Especially living in Chicago, we have over 6 months to wear socks and boots. Keep the flip flops and flats as long as possible ladies.

I'll be posting my other fall outfits/trends twice each week this month. If you didn't read my previois post, I will be posting every Wedesday and Sunday from now on! Staying consistent because that's what you asked for!

Xo namaste

End of Summer

We went back to Michigan before summer ends. I haven't been to any beaches this summer besides Saugutuck and we probably won't be back until next year. Getting married in Scotland and having a honeymoon in Morocco was kind of the highlight of our summer but we wanted to have one last little getaway before it ends!

We got right into the good stuff; tanning and reading. Of course Tim is reading Relentless by Tim S. Grover. To become better and unstoppable as he puts it.  Super dicsciplined and realistic. Unlike me who's reading In The Flow of Life, one of my favorite books by Eric Butterworth. It focuses on taking things lightly, flowing with life, and always expecting the best. I guess you could say we balance each other out. 😍

This picture defines this town. Cute shops and nature ☀️

My sweetheart checking out books in the lovely antique store. I always buy at least one weird esoteric book that looks hundreds of years old.

Of course we finished it off with a large cup o coffee. Uncommon Grounds. #amazing

Until next year.... I'm ready for fall!!!!
Coming next week... My fall fashion trends.

STIX & ROSES in Saugatuck

One of my favorite towns is Saugatuck Michigan. From white picket fences, bed and breakfasts, to gift shops and beaches. It's the cutest little town to get away and relax. This past weekend was absolutely perfect and beautiful. Timothy and I laid out all day, ate food at our favorite restaraunt, The White House Bistro, shopped for some sweet gifts, had coffee at our favorite spot- uncommon grounds, and ended at the beach again for sunset. This is where Timothy proposed to me one year ago August 9th. So it was pretty romantic indeed.
Wearing STIX AND ROSES pattern print top by SaraRose on Oak. Purchase in store or on-line. Handmade gorgeous bohemian clothing. Chic, boho, simple, and comfortable.
